What a busy couple of weeks we have had with senior examinations and winter sports tournament.  All our teams have acquitted themselves well and I have been very proud of the feedback that I have received about their positive performances on the court, field and turf along with the positive reports about how they conduct themselves at these tournaments.  We can be very proud of the way in which the students of the College represent themselves and the College at these events.  As a smaller school it is very clear that we compete at a level that is in excess than might be expected from a school of our size and that is something that we can be very proud of.  I would like to thank all the coaches, managers and parents for their support of the students attending tournament. The opportunity to attend tournament is a great experience and provides students with really positive opportunities to challenge themselves and to learn many life lessons. We appreciate your support in making these opportunities occur for our students.

Seniors have completed examinations and it has been a great sight to see 130 students at a time in the Hall together all working on their various assessment.  This year we have again seen an improvement in focus in our school examinations.  While the students have been succeeding really well in internal assessment this year it is vital that all students work towards achieving as many external standards as possible and continue their revision towards achieving external standards at the highest possible level.  Many students are poised to achieve subject and overall endorsement and it is vital that their revision towards external examinations is to prepare themselves to achieve this success.

Students will receive feedback from their teachers in relation to what they will need to do to improve their achievement in examinations.  It is important that students take this feedback in a positive light and work hard to address any issues with their work towards achieving success.  I would encourage all students to also be persistent in their pursuit of success and to never give up.  With persistence will come reward and success.

   God Bless
