Tena Koutou Katoa A warm welcome to term 4 of the College year. This term marks the last few steps for our senior students in the achievement of their academic goals. We have received news that 13 of our students have received ILT scholarships. This represents the greatest number of students from Verdon College and is a great endorsement of our students and the work of our school community. You will find photos of all these students in this newsletter along with photos of other students who have also gained other scholarships. We congratulate all of these students on their success. Over the last two months students beginning in year 7 in 2013 and their parents have been meeting with both Mr Mackay and Mrs O’Neill. They have both thoroughly enjoyed meeting new members of our family and we are all looking forward to welcoming these students at our new entrance day to be held on 9 November. Again this year enrolments have been extremely positive and we are looking forward to working with families new to the College. It has been a very positive last few weeks of term 3 with our Haka competition and Blues Assembly. (See photos and write up in this newsletter). It seems that each year we are celebrating success of our students that there are more and more students being acknowledged; a great endorsement of the work of the whole school community. Enclosed with this mail out is a Christmas Truffle Fundraiser form and covering letter. We would ask all parents and students to support the PTA's Truffle fund raiser both by selling truffles and by assisting over the weekend of Friday 9 and Saturday 10 November. The funds raised will go towards the development of the performing arts centre. God bless Jarlath Kelly
