Last week senior students completed internal examinations, an important step in their preparation for external examination success. Students will be receiving feedback on their progress and it is important that they take time to reflect on their progress to date and plan the next steps in their revision. I would encourage all students to continue to work hard and build on their learning so far this year, to strive for excellence and to ensure that they achieve to their full potential.

I would like to congratulate all of our  students that have represented the College so well in a variety of sports during the recent tournament week. We have had some great success and some disappointment such is the nature of sporting competition.  It has been so pleasing to see, and hear the reports of our students representing the College with such pride and competing to the best if their ability at all times.  I would like to thank all those coaches, managers and supporters that have supported our students participation in these tournaments.

We have again, had a very positive response to enrolment at the College for 2014. It is pleasing to see that we continue to be the first choice for so many students from Catholic primary schools and also pleasing that we received such a high level of enrolment enquiry from students from a wide range of schools throughout Invercargill.  This level of enquiry for enrolment  continues to be a positive affirmation of what we are achieving as a College community.

I would ask that we keep in our prayers those members of our community struggling with serious illness at this time. We pray for the recovery of those that are ill and ask for strength and resilience for members of their families at this time.

God Bless

Jarlath Kelly
