I was really pleased with examination week it was great to see so many students on site during their examination  leave making the most of tutorials on offer and working to support each other’s success. Students will be receiving feedback from teachers in relation to external examinations and it is important that they take this in a positive way and develop plans to ensure success in the upcoming examinations in term 4.

I have also been extremely pleased with the reports from our Year 7 camps.  I have received so much positive feedback about the camps from students, staff as well as parents that attended.  These camps are a great opportunity for students to challenge themselves and to get to know each other and staff in a different setting. I would like to thank staff and parents that attended; your support of our students is greatly appreciated and we could not deliver these opportunities without your assistance.

We have again a good response for enrolment in 2015 and we are again looking forward to a positive intake for year 7 as well as a number of new enrolments at other levels of the College.

I wish those students competing in tournaments this week, all the best, particularly our senior A netball team competing at South Island secondary school championship. It is a great opportunity to support the team as they are competing in town at the ILT Stadium and they would appreciate any support we can give as a community.

Finally would ask for your prayers for Mr Baird as he continues his battle with illness along with all those in our community that are struggling with illness at this time.

God Bless

Jarlath Kelly
