We have had a great few weeks in the College with  some fantastic representation of the College by our teams at winter sports tournaments. I was very proud of  our Senior Boys Badminton team achieving  7th place at the national tournament against teams such as Auckland  Grammar and Palmerston North Boys. I was also very pleased with the great performance of our young Senior A netball team at their tournament in Invercargill and the support they received from students of the College. It was a great display of school spirit and pride.

It has been a great couple of weeks for cultural performance with an outstanding display of talent on show in our house drama competitions.  Congratulations to all students involved on their hard work and a very enjoyable evening. I would also like to acknowledge and commend our year 7 and 8 students and the  work of the Sing Out Choir. It was a wonderful performance and really displayed the character and values of the College well.

Senior reports will be sent out to parents these report are timed so that students receive information on where they are currently at in terms of their progress towards NCEA.  I would encourage all students to strive for excellence and aim for the highest level of achievement.  Many staff are running tutorials to assist students  and I would advise all students to take advantage of these opportunities prior to external examinations

We are looking forward to an exciting end of the term with our Blues Assembly and Kapa Haka competition.

Finally I would ask that you continue to keep in your prayers members of our community that are struggling with serious illness at this time.
