School continues to have a buzz of excitement as students consider the range of end of year activities and look forward to the upcoming holidays. It has been pleasing to see so many of our year 9 and 10 students stepping up in the absence of the Seniors to take on leadership and organisational roles in the College. We have completed a wonderful series of camps for year 8 at Deep Cove. The feedback on the experience and the enjoyment of these camps has been enthusiastic to say the least and clearly they remain a highlight of the year and for some students of their time at the College. Year 10 students are preparing for camp at Borland Lodge. These camps are a very important part of our outdoor education programmes. We are very proud to say that we support all students attendance at camp as they are a great opportunity for students to develop confidence and to develop relationships with their peer group. I would like to thank all those parents that are prepared to assist on these camps as without your assistance the camps would be unable to go ahead. We have written to all current year 8 parents with information in regard to the Marist Legacy Scholarships for 2015. These scholarships are designed to provide some support for the education of Catholic families. If you feel you meet the criteria please return the appropriate forms to the College as soon as possible. Finally, I would ask that you all keep in your prayers those in our community that are continuing to deal with serious illness at this time.
God Bless Jarlath Kelly
