Tena koutou katoa We have come to the end of another extremely busy and successful term for the students and staff of the College. Looking back over the term it is hard to believe that we have managed to pack so much into the term. It was an extremely fitting way to finish the term, celebrating our students successes at our Blues Assembly. The extent and breath of the achievement of our students in their sporting and academic endeavours is something that we can be very proud of as a community. I outlined at the Blues Assembly that at this time of the year in 2010 we had only two students that qualified as Academic Blues recipients, this year we had 11 recipients. This year on year increase in students achievement is reflective of the culture of aspiration that is evidence throughout the college. I would like to thank all of the teachers, parents, coaches and managers that have supported our students success this term without your tireless efforts our students would not be able to enjoy such an outstanding level of success. A reminder for senior students that after the holidays they have only 3 weeks of school prior to breaking for study leave. We advise students to make the most of their break after a busy term but not to lose sight that for most students their examinations will begin only 5 weeks after their return to College. It is important to review the advice that teachers have provided in reports and to continue to work hard to achieve to their full potential in every subject area. We have focused this year on assisting students to strive towards subject endorsement. We wish everyone a restful holiday break. I would ask that you continue to keep those in our community that are coping with the illness of loved ones in our prayers. God Bless Jarlath Kelly
