The Junior Quadrangular tournament is this Wednesday in Dunedin. This is a special opportunity to get together with students from other Catholic schools to test our sporting skills, but also to develop bonds between the students of our schools. Over the past few years this tournament has led to developing friendship between the students of all of our schools and brought us closer as a Catholic family. I would like to thank all those coaches, managers and the staff that have worked so hard to ensure that this fantastic opportunity occurs.

Over the past few weeks there have been some amazing performances in the Arts areas of the College. I am sure that all those that went to the Production would agree it was an outstanding show.  It was great to be able to have the Production in the Hall thanks to the work of the PTA which has contributed so much to the upgrade of the sound and lighting. I would also like to congratulate those students involved in the Chamber Music District Contest and the Fibre Octave Wearable Arts Event.  We can be really proud of our students doing so well and delivering such professional performances in these public events.  I would like to thank all those staff and parents that have supported students in these events you are doing an amazing job. The Arts area is really humming at the College and we look forward to their ongoing successes throughout the year.

A gentle reminder about uniform.  The expectation of the College is that students are managing themselves to ensure that they are wearing their correct uniform with pride.  Hoodies are not part of the College uniform and students should be wearing plain black jackets or school vests. While we understand there will maybe times that students will not have correct uniform items, for one reason or another, it is important for our community that students are meeting our uniform expectations.  If there is any issue for students’ access to correct uniform items we are always happy to see where we can assist.

Please continue to pray for all those in our community that are struggling with the illness or loss of loved ones at this time. May God’s love and strength be with them.

God Bless

Jarlath Kelly
