Kia ora koutotu katoa We have reached the end of another great term at Verdon College. It is hard to believe we have had time for so many fantastic events and successes that we have been able to fit in this term. There have been so many highlights and the positivity amongst the students has been great. One of the things that I have been really proud of is the way our students’ support each other throughout the term in all of these activities. All students will be receiving reports on their progress for the last two terms. As I have shared with the students at Assembly this week “Striving To Be The Best That We Can Be”, as part of our Verdon College has SOUL concept, is in part about looking honestly at our performance and working hard to improve our performance. Report feedback provides a great opportunity for students to take stock of the feedback they have received about their learning toward taking steps towards improvement. While there is feedback about gaps in performance for many students it should not be taken as a negative but rather an opportunity to understand where improvement can be made. Our Open Day is on the 6th of August and enrolment season begins next term. The College will have a full roll again for 2018 so it is important that all those with family and friends wishing to enrol their students at Verdon College do so at the earliest opportunity and prior to the closing date for enrolments outlined in the prospectus to avoid any potential disappointment once the roll is closed. A big thank you all the students staff and parents for all of their contribution to the College this term and I wish everyone a relaxing well-earned break. God Bless Jarlath Kelly
