We have had another couple of really positive weeks at the College, I was particularly proud of our Pasifika and Kapahaka groups with their performances at Polyfest.  Much of the preparation and leadership of these groups was undertaken by the students themselves.   It is great to see so many of our senior students leading younger students in these groups.  I would like to thank all those staff and parents that have committed so much energy to the preparation of these groups and in particular all those that spent so much of their time helping our Pasifika group look so amazing.

I am really pleased with the success that we have had in our winter sports season. There have been some really pleasing  results in netball and basketball which you will see featured in this newsletter.  I would like to thank all those coaches, managers and supporters that make these opportunities happen for our students.

Our senior examinations have gone very well and I am really pleased with the progress that our students are making towards their qualifications.  I would advise that students should continue to focus on preparation for examinations as there is a clear correlation between students success in external examinations at school and their success at tertiary education.

We have had to implement enrolment restriction’s on new students  for 2018 at a number of year levels as we received over 140 applications from potential students to the College. While we understand there will be disappointment from those unable to gain a place at the College, it is positive that once again we are at our maximum capacity. We are looking forward to welcoming  all our new entrants to the College over the next few weeks.

God bless

Jarlath Kelly
