We have had a most successful last two weeks.  The number of students receiving a certificate for fortnightly reports has increased markedly and we encourage you all to keep this up.  This week we have had our year 7/8 student/teacher/parent interviews.  These have been very well attended by parents of our students and from comments received from the teachers and the parents these have gone extremely well and been worthwhile.  If for any reason you could not make it to these interviews please call the office and we will arrange for you to get in contact with your child’s teacher.  Next week is our year 9 – 13 parent teacher interviews.  You should have received a letter outlining the process around booking online for these interviews.  If you have not received this information please call the office.  Parent teacher interviews are an important opportunity for the staff of the college to dialogue with parents and discuss the progress of your sons and daughters. We look forward to meeting with you to discuss how we can best support the success of your family.

Year 9 camps were very successful and provided positive opportunities for students to experience the outdoors. It is always disappointing to have to cut camps short due to adverse condition, however, that is part and parcel of being in the outdoors. I would like to thank the staff and parents that put so much time and effort into organising the year 9 camps. Hopefully we will be able to organise some replacement activities for the classes that missed some activities in the near future.

We still have a number of oyster raffle cards outstanding.  Please get these back in to the office as soon as possible.  This raffle is scheduled to be drawn on 28 March and all cards need to be returned whether they are sold or not.  The money raised from this raffle will go towards further development of IT resources for our students.

God Bless

Jarlath Kelly
